The Aidan

Sunday November 5th at 1:00am in the morning, I had 2 passengers in my car that I was dropping off at their apartment at The Aidan. I drove through the main gate to the left, further up I turned a corner. Two men wearing all black ran past my car on the right side. I and I’m sure my passengers were all wondering what was going on. When suddenly we heard gunshots. I ducked down and moved my car further to the left next to the parked cars. I actually saw the flashing lights from the gun. It seemed as though the gunman was in the courtyard behind the first apartment building, where the 2 men had come from. Once I got my passengers dropped off, they both ran to their apartment. As I drove further I realized both my front tires were flat, so I pulled over. Three cop cars showed up and I was able to tell them what had happened and where. I wrote out an incident report for 165 Forestbrook Dr. The police did find a few casings. The next day when I came to get my car towed, I talked to several residents who also heard the gunshots. One spoke about this happening once before. The police officer even said that this was a normal occurrence in this area. But you would never think it from how nice the area looks. Once my car was towed, the tow truck driver and I noticed there were 4 bullets that hit my car. I just wonder how my passengers are doing. I hope they are okay. I am blessed to be alive today. I did speak with the office and I gave them the incident report case number and the officer that I spoke with.

Can’t wait to move out! Overpriced dated apartment and unsafe! Dish washer is broken, and I called maintenance multiple times to fix it! They tell me to run the garbage disposal while washing the dishes (that didn’t work). Police have been here multiple times for gunshots. I was woken up at 2 in the morning due to gunshots! With the fees and technology package you’re better off stay somewhere nicer and safer!

I've been living here for the last 8 months. Everything was okay at first but couple of months after, i started experience Gun shots, people jumping over the walls, the gates are most of the time out of service, the apartments are very old construction so you will hear every footstep of your neighbors. Forget about taking naps or even get good sleep at nights for all this noises, i have a lot of complains about all the noises from the apartment 434 very late at night almost every day. I call several times for the same problem, but they don't do nothing about it. They always say call the police which i already did and nothing change. Feels like I'm paying for something that I'm not enjoying. Management needs to take action about it. People's privacy and rest matters! People need to be able to sleep good at night, especially after a long day of work. I'm very disappointed of this complex.
